MoMo Restaurant

The MoMo project was the result of team work in a very short time. In addition to the Nepalese theme requested by the beneficiary, which gave us the opportunity to use natural materials, the challenge also consisted in the most feasible configuration of the intervention space for the restaurant function. The concept used four important elements: Metal (used for different pieces of furniture), wood (present in the finishes and furniture items as well as through the rattan used both for the lighting fixtures and for the wall cladding in the shared dining area), the fire ( an element transposed through artificial light that creates a warm atmosphere that invites you to hang out for a while in the restaurant) and the earth (reflected in the brick present as a finishing touch to the walls and in the carved niches in the area of the high tables that remind us of this element). We opted for two types of dining areas: the low areas (found on the ground floor as well as in the attic area of the Asian specific shared table) and the high areas (located in the intermediate room to the right of the reception area). Organic accents (dried plants) are present both on the ground floor and in the attic, the attic enjoying a special area above the shared table treated entirely with dried plants and lighting fixtures made of clay pots. MoMo reflects the image of a Nepalese restaurant transposed into everyday life in the city of Bucharest.
